Miss Mary Ann is founder of the vocal duet "The Ranch Girls" from Rotterdam Netherlands, who need no further introduction. After having played all over the world with the latter for the last 10 years she has been successfully touring with her solo act as well. A different act, less Western flavoured, more in the rockabilly tradition. She played major festivals like the "Rockabilly Rave" in the UK, Hi Rockabilly in Spain and the "Oneida’s Rockin’ Fifties Fest" in Wisconsin USA. Her second solo CD "Rock It On Down To My House" has been issued May 2006 on Sonic Rendezvous from the Netherlands. This CD is the 17th official release from these group of musicians. Miss Mary Ann is living in London now, but she still relies on her faithful backing band from Rotterdam "The Ragtime Wranglers": Joe Sixpack on guitar; Sietse Von Helsing on drums and Huey Moor on double-bass; musicians who have also been the favourite accompanists of no-one less than: Sid King, Hardrock Gunter, Curtis Gordon, the Collins Kids, Marvin Rainwater, Jack Earls, Barbara Pittman, Janis Martin and many more . . . . . Besides obscure forties and fifties material she always sings many songs of her own, with her special characteristic style, sweet and mellow to loud and rocking. Each set is interchanged with some crazy, wild instumentals from the Ragtime Wranglers, peppered with tape-echoes, temple blocks and peculiarities. The band rocks on . . . . . until the break of day !
