The RANCH GIRLS / MISS MARY ANN & the RAGTIME WRANGLERS NIEUWSBRIEF Vol. 5 / 1

Komende maand juni zouden we samen op tournee gaan: Ray Condo, The Lucky Stars en de Ragtime Wranglers. Het liep echter anders.
De Canadese topartiest Ray Condo overleed op 15 april 2004. Het nieuws kwam behoorlijk hard aan.
We denken er allemaal zo over als Mary Ann:
“Hij was een entertainer zoals er maar weinig zijn en het is een groot verlies om hem niet meer in ons midden te hebben. Ik heb heel veel leuke herinneringen aan hem, wanneer ik aan hem denk kan ik niets anders dan glimlachen.”
In Milaan 13 juni, München 17 juni en Burgaeschi 18 juni versterkt Miss Mary Ann de tournee met de Lucky Stars. Actuele informatie vind je op onze website: http://www.theranchgirls.com/international/shows.html

Er gebeurt veel hier aan de Maas de laatste tijd, maar wij vinden dat het nog niet genoeg is.
Om hier de mogelijkheden voor rockabilly en roots-muziek te verbeteren hebben we de Stichting “Rockin' Rotterdam” opgericht. In komende nieuwsbrieven staat zeker meer over wat we van plan zijn.

Op korte termijn om alvast naar uit te kijken:
- The Ragtime Wranglers presenteren 27 mei hun nieuwe single (beperkte oplage gekleurd vinyl!) in Waterfront aan de Boompjeskade te Rotterdam. We openen die avond voor de Japanse 5,6,7,8's, bekend van de film "Kill Bill". Meer informatie kun je vinden op: http://www.waterfront.nl/index.php

- Miss Mary Ann & the Ragtime Wranglers spelen eindelijk weer eens in Rotown en wel op 3 juni. Op hun website vind je meer informatie over aanvangstijden etc.: http://www2.rotown.nl/
- Wederom in Waterfront: kom naar onze 3e Rockabilly Dazzle op vrijdag 25 juni, met de Mean Devils uit Portugal en de Tin Stars met Little Esther.

We were supposed to go on tour together next June: Ray Condo, The Lucky Stars and the Ragtime Wranglers. It was not going to happen.
Canadian top artist vocalist Ray Condo passed away April 15th 2004. The news came as a shock.
Mary Ann said it all and we can’t agree more:
“I think he was a hell of an entertainer and it's a great loss not having him around in person anymore. He left his mark in a lot of nice memories for me, when I think of them I can't help but smile.”
In Milano 13 June, Munich 17 June and Burgaeschi 18 June Miss Mary Ann is added to the bill with the Lucky Stars. More info at our website: http://www.theranchgirls.com/international/shows.html

Rotterdam is rocking more and more, but we think it's not enough.
To promote rockabilly and roots-music in our home town we raised the foundation “Rockin' Rotterdam”. In future newsletters you can read more about our activities.

Meanwhile some thing to look forward to if you’re in the area:
- The Ragtime Wranglers will present their new single-record (limited edition color vinyl!) 27 May at Waterfront in Rotterdam. They will open for the Japanese 5,6,7,8's, famous from the movie "Kill Bill". More info at: http://www.waterfront.nl/index.php
