FULL HOUSE IN AMSTERDAM AT ELVIS PRESLEY NIGHT!
The Elvis Presley tribute in the Milkyway Amsterdam last Saturday night, 18th of December 1999, was a big success! Top of the bill Scotty Moore played a long set, which included most of the songs he recorded with the King at the Sun-studio's in Memphis. Ray Walker, member from the Jordanairs, treated us some classics too. The Ranch Girls and their Ragtime Wranglers played a 30 minute set of songs that were made famous by Elvis and songs about Elvis, like Genee Harris' "Bye, bye Elvis" and Janis Martin's "My boy Elvis". Unfortunately drummer D.J. Fontana was not able to join stage because of health problems.
For all those who couldn't join the crowd at the Milkyway: we can give you a short impression in this MPG file which shows us 15 seconds of Scotty Moore's solo in Mystery Train!

COLLINS KIDS BACK IN EUROPE!
After being away for too long, the Collins Kids will return to Europe. The Reno Nevada based Larry and Lorrie Collins will play at the "Espace de Lacroix", Saint Maurice, Paris on February 19th 2000. It will be the first time they play in France. They will be backed by The Ragtime Wranglers, also supporting their Ranch Girls at this event.

NEW CD for GOOFIN' ANNIVERSARY!
Goofin' Records celebrates their 15th anniversary with a 52-track compilation CD. This double-CD is exactly the 100th title they have put out in those 15 years.
On the CD are two tracks from our band: "Way Down Yonder" from the Ranch Girls and their Ragtime Wranglers' Goofin EP, issued in 1995, and "Hey, Little Dreamboat" from Mary Ann's solo EP, issued last year.
This is not a "best of" compilation, but Goofin' collected tracks from deleted vinyl records, previously unreleased material and new recordings from new bands. Besides the songs already mentioned it has songs from: Ray Campi - High Noon - The Hal Peters Trio - Marty Brom - The Barnshakers - The Go Getters and many, many more.
Ordering information at the Goofin' website or at: Goofin' Records - P.O. Box 63 - 01601 Vantaa - Finland.

WHO IS THAT NEW RANCH GIRL?
Hi there web-crawlers, off course we will appease your hunger for news this month! As you might have heard Lil' Esther left the band. The last show with her was the 20th of June, at soccer stadium the Kuip in our hometown Roterdam. What about the future of harmony singing with The Ranch Girls?
Well, Mary Lou has been a Ranch Girls fan for a long time, when the band still had it's original line-up. Being a singer herself she had already joined the band on stage at some occasions; singing standards from Patsy Cline and obscure songs from Donna Darlene. It goes without saying she was asked to be the new Ranch Girl.
"O.K." she said! The 23rd of June was the first show with "Mary Ann and May Lou". Everyone in the band was immediately overwhelmed by her enthusiasm. Shows in the U.K., Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Swiss followed, with increasing fun at each show.
So since June the new line-up has been as follows: Mary Ann and Mary Lou (vocals); Joe (guitar/steel-guitar); Sietse (drums); Patrick (bass) and Jerome (mandolin).

NEW LINE-UP ON SCANDINAVIAN TOUR
From 30 July until 6 August 1999 the Ranch Girls and their Ragtime Wranglers will be away from their home-base in Rotterdam. On their Scandinavian tour they will play one show in Norway, two in Sweden and two in Finland. The band will appear with brandnew Ranchgirl Mary Lou who replaces Lil' Esther.
Because mandoline-player Jeroen Jongsma is on tour in the United States with "The Watchmen", he won't accompany the band this trip. Jeremy Wakefield from the Los Angeles based "Lucky Stars" will play steel-guitar with the Ranch Girls. Just released is his album with Dave Biller on High Tone records.

MAJOR EVENT IN SOCCER STADIUM "DE KUIP":
The Ranch Girls and their Ragtime Wranglers are proud to play at the Feijenoord soccer-stadium in their hometown Rotterdam on Sunday 20 June 1999.
The bandmembers from Rotterdam have been dedicated Feijenoord-fans for as long as they can remember. It will be a great experience to be on the playing-field instead of the grand stand. Also appearing on this event are "The Mavericks" from the U.S.A.
